We are the quintessential modern family with four children between us and a growing group of grand-children. Although none have taken a vocational interest in viticulture, we hope that may change with the newest generation.
Ava Grace is the name of our first granddaughter who was born on April 28, 2014. All births are remarkable, but few as remarkable as the story of Ava Grace. Due to complications, Ava Grace was born four months premature–at just 23 weeks and five days. Weighing in at just 1 lb. 3 ounces and only 11 inches long, she was in for a long battle. Thankfully, after a 96 day stay in the NICU, she was discharged from the hospital on August 1st, 2014–three weeks before her actual due date. She is now a completely healthy, yet rambunctious, beautiful little girl. Words cannot express how grateful we are for this miracle. In honor of her fight, the Ava Grace label was born. In support of the cause to prevent premature births, we donate a portion of all proceeds from the sale of Ava Grace to the March of Dimes.
